What is an Aire?
An Aire is an overnight parking space where you can camp for
free.
Aire Driveways UK is a Motorhome Community website, which offers an answer to the UK’s complete lack of Aires. The UK government are unwilling to change the overnight parking laws to provide serviced Aires as can be found in France and the rest of Europe. The freedom most motorhome users experience when camping over the channel cannot be met in the UK.
We offer like-minded respectful motorhome owners a chance to visit locations for a couple of days free of charge. If you own a Motorhome and have driveway space, which you are willing to make available to fellow Motorhome users then this is the website for you.
If you need a stop over to break up a long journey, want to visit friends or family in an area with no campsite, want to visit local attractions or simply extend your trip by a few days after leaving a campsite. Then Aire Driveways UK will provide you a safe option, which is not currently available.
Membership is only available to those who are listing a driveway and you will need an email address to join.
When listing your driveway you can clearly show your own criteria please click here to see an example. Listings appear by county and town only, confirmation of the actual address will be done privately between members via email. There is a feedback system for both visitor and driveway owner.
It is important to remember this website is for a Motorhome Community that wants to work together to increase the flexibility of camping in the UK. Membership is for the sole use of Motorhome owners. No Caravans or rented vans will be able to join. No money should exchange hands, as we are not renting drive space. If you wish to offer electricity, this should be confirmed before arrival. We do not recommend allowing the disposal of waste.
The site is very new and we are currently marketing and advertising to promote its growth. We are offering one year free membership to the first member from every county or listed large town that’s 135 free memberships up for grabs!!! Standard membership is £10 per year. Join now become part of something new and add some freedom to your camping experience. The free memberships are refunded. Once you are registered and have your password our database informs us if you are the first in your county and a full refund is given.
